“I really can’t stay.” / “Baby, it’s cold outside!”

Battle fabulously against the elements with shimmering gold. There’s no reason to give up on glamor just because it’s raining outside in our little island and the thermostat swings from ridiculously hot at noon to chillingly cold (esp at shopping malls) whenever it rains.

It’s time to take out your New Year’s outfit and go to the next level with the color of grandeur. Add a golden glow by wearing a small amount of bright gold that catches the eye. Or toss in some warmth with darker gold that’s more subdued in lavishness.

How to wear gold?

1. Don’t wear gold from head to toe! You’ll end up looking overly extravagant & attracting the wrong kind of people. Get in the gold rush by donning small impact pieces.

2. Mix gold accessories with a neutral outift, or your basic black or white for impact. Gold pieces are great for dressing up your good old denim during your daytime prowl. Turn up the gleam factor pairing big gold pieces with a well-cut, sultry or short outfit for parties, depending on whether you want to look elegant, sexy or playful.

3. Wear gold on the body part that you want to bring attention to, like necklaces for collarbones, or earrings for face. Gold color has the ability to light up small places!

So, if you are needing some brightness and cheer, or warmth and thrill in this rainy season, wear gold. And see in the year 2008 with inimitable style! Happy New Year, everyone! Peace, health and happiness! Cya next year (which is tomorrow)! 🙂

As the year comes to an end with X’mas parties and New Year countdowns, turn heads with shimmering chandelier earrings. Battle fabulously against the cold and turn up the thermostat with these hot statement earrings!

How do you wear chandelier earrings? A widely understood rule is to wear them without glasses. The face becomes too busy…in a bad way. I often wonder why so many still don chandelier earrings with glasses. Really. It’s very wrong!

If the chandelier earrings are dramatic and long, avoid wearing a choker or a big necklace. Keep the attention to your enticing ears, pretty face, every swing of your head and every movement as you walk or dance. It’s subtly seductive! Have fun this X’mas! *wink*

Go on a nostalgic journey when you were still a little girl…ogling at granny’s gleaming gold handbag and those large frame spectacles that are making a comeback now…dialing a rotary phone that’s oh-so-cool and going ‘Hello! Hello!’ while cradling the handset that was too big for your tiny hands…hiding under the soft, warm patchwork blanket that mummy or granny has made specially for you.

These retro accessories remind you of a bygone era. I love retro and vintage clothings, home decor and lifestyle items. Why? Because they have history. Because they have a story to tell. Because they are usually colorful, bold, subtly embellished and absolutely cool.

How then do you wear these retro accessories? The key is keeping the rest of your outfit simple. Not too much bling-bling or complicated prints on the rest of your outerwear or you risk looking like a X’mas tree. Let the piece be the statement itself. And most importantly, wear it with attitude!

Spice up your style, get creative now and let’s go retro!

‘Tis the season to be giving…and not one to be reeling from the confusion of what to give your girlfriends that they can wear to work, something prac Something simple, something practical enough to coordinate with work wear, and definitely something not mediocre.

These earrings + necklace set makes sure that your girlfriends (even yourself) still look appropriately dressed up for that meeting, seminar or conference. Great for coordinating with basic blacks, whites and hues that are not too outrageous for work.

A woman can still look graceful even when donning that stiff jacket to the workplace. Viva donna!

whim•si•cal (hwim-zi-kuh), adj. playfully quaint or fanciful, esp. in an appealing and amusing way; playful; quirky; eccentric; mischievous; unconventional

If you feel any of the above, these necklaces are for you. Wear them out to add that spring to your step! Be bold to wow even if you are feeling a little lazy to dress up. These necklaces are perfect with your plain tee and jeans or a printed skirt. Coupled with a lazy afternoon, you are set for a wonderful time out in town!

As these necklaces are full of character, each with a story to tell, a mood to convey, avoid dangling earrings or elaborate drops that will crowd your style. Your top can be of any color (as long as it’s different from the main pendant’s color), even with some frills, but no prints would be best in order to bring out the humorous disposition of these accessories.

Enjoy them! What’s life without exhibiting that witticism of yours?

Purple is many things – mysterious, romantic, spiritual. This color of intrigue is seldom worn if you want to be hidden away in a corner like a wallflower. It’s a strong color, one that will get you noticed. From violets to lilacs, plums to mauves, how exactly do you wear purple?

Wear it with the earthiness of biege, tans & neutrals to exude that sense of enigma as the intensity of purple jots the balance. And if you are feeling cheerful today, mix it with greens and light colors like yellow to emanate your bubbly personality. Embody your femininity and display your purples with pink to give an air of romanticism.

If you are feeling special and unique, purple is the color to go and show the world that you could care less about what the world thinks. Be a purple cow! Be one of a kind!

The main feature in these necklaces is their wooden pendant in the shape of delightful animals like a puppy, a kitten, elephants & a zebra. Wood tends to give a feeling of life to jewelry pieces, often adding that endearing touch of raw, unpretentious beauty.
